Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures.

In 1995 I was fortunate to have a fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center when Wolf Kahn was in attendance as a visiting artist. I remember standing back and listening to him speak of painting and also remember watching him paint in the plein air of Vermont. This one month in my life was truly a turning point and I thank you Wolf for all the inspiration you gave to me. I continue to paint today with carefree abandon using color freely to express my soul. Thank you Wolf and the Vermont Studio Center for this wonderful experience. I was unable to come to the reunion as I was recently in a head on collision with a drunk driver. My injuries were mild, very lucky, but my car totaled. Maybe I will be able to come to the next one. And thank you Jon for your “Founder’s Blog”. A joy to read.
